Î Self-Directed Learning: Assign your coaching target to come back to your next coaching session with three examples of ways that they plan to participate or gain participation by the team for the next activity planned by the organization. How will those actions help lead their team in building morale and gaining buy-in to participate from the whole team? Î Observational Coaching: Ask your coaching target to observe the members of the team as they raise their enthusiasm and participation in upcoming events and activities. Do their actions have any effect on the team’s attitude as they go into these events? What observations can they make about their team’s participation and enthusiasm in those upcoming events and activities?
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
Î Non-Verbal Coaching: As the individual improves their attitude surrounding organizational events and activities, share with them in a handwritten note why their efforts are so beneficial to the team as they set the example for others in their participation.
