Suggested Strategy: Be authentic and empathetic. Taking a generic approach to relationship building works in most situations, but if you’re looking to build an authentic relationship with anyone, get to know their loves, stressors, and what their goals are.

Î Self-Actualized Question: What are your high-level goals within this company? Within your career? Î Self-Actualized Question: What motivates you? What things stand in the way of your motivation? Are there certain stressors we can address here at work to assist in your motivation on a day-to-day basis? Î Self-Actualized Question: What is your preferred form of feedback? Do you like one on one conversations, emails, texts?

Î GOAL-Based Coaching: What does your coaching target aspire to becoming Great at in their career? What Opportunities might become available to them as a result of becoming great? What specific actions must they take to make those opportunities a reality? What will your coaching target specifically Love about reaching their goals?
