Suggested Learning Projects:

Î Journal-Based Coaching: Have your coaching target write down in a journal the moments during the week when they feel the most motivated. They should be prepared to bring the journal to the next coaching session to discuss how the mentality in those moments can be utilized during times where the employee may not feel so motivated. Î Self-Directed Learning: Have your coaching target read The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People , one chapter per week. Ask them to email you by the end of the week three things taken away from each chapter that they can utilize in their daily routine in the workplace.

Supplemental Coaching Strategies:

Î Non-Verbal Coaching: Leave the employee a hand-written note when you notice they exhibited motivated behavior. Be specific of what they did well and why it was appreciated.
