Î Peer-to-Peer Coaching: Have the employee sit down once per week with someone that specializes in one of the departments that you talked about together that he would need to be an expert in to reach the promotion they are seeking and come back to you weekly with two things that they learned from that specialist.
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
Î Non-Verbal Coaching: Leave the employee a note on their desk when they make tangible progress toward their goal of a promotion — be specific in what exactly they did well and why it will benefit them in their current position.
