Libro CoachApply 5.0

This is a great book for teams in learning to work together and adjusting to changes. Ask each person to write down two takeaways from each chapter that they feel could contribute to positive change in the team. Discuss their takeaways at your next coaching session. Î Peer-to-Peer Coaching: Assign the members of the group to meet with their assigned partner once in the coming week to discuss how they can best help each other succeed in the coming week. After the meeting, each member of the team should email you, carbon-copying the entire team on the email as well, with their strategy discussed with their partner, their commitment to help the other succeed, and maybe something new that they learned about their partner in the discussion. By having the entire team copied on the email, you bring a strong sense of accountability to the Learning Project. Each coaching session ask the members of the team to find a new partner until they have worked with each member of the team.

Supplemental Coaching Strategies:

Î Journal-Based Coaching: Ask each member of the team to keep a running journal throughout the coming weeks with entries noting how they feel that the team cohesion is coming along as the days and weeks pass. Do they observe any changes in the relationships being built among members of the team? Are there things that the team still needs to work on? If so, what are they, and what type of strategy could the team implement to improve those things? Have everyone share their thoughts from their journal entries at each coaching session. Î 30-Second Coaching: Take 30 seconds of your day to acknowledge positive efforts made by members of the team to build a cohesive relationship with other teammates. Be specific in sharing the actions that you had observed and how those actions will benefit the team as a whole.
