Î Peer-to-Peer Coaching: Assign your coaching target to meet with a new peer each week to review the recent connections they have made through networking and the specific actions they will each take to leverage the opportunities that those connections will bring. At your next coaching session, discuss what the individual learned from their peer and any new ideas that they might want to put into practice in their own practices. Î Tangible Successes: Have them come back to your next coaching session with three specific examples of actions taken to leverage a networking opportunity to its fullest potential. Ask them to share with you how their efforts correlate directly with reaching their overall goals.
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
Î Journal-Based Coaching: Have the individual keep a journal in the coming weeks as they network and follow up with connections made through networking. What strategies in leveraging the opportunities gained through networking have they found to be most successful? What challenges have they faced and how will they address those challenges going forward? This is a great way for them to track their progress and the efforts they have made, as well as staying organized with their strategy and noting what works best.
