Recruiting Expectations

Suggested Strategy: Using a Define & Coach strategy, you can ensure that the individual you are coaching understands what the expectations are related to recruiting that are outlined by their position with the company. Setting a definition for those expectations helps to make sure that you and the individual you are coaching are on the same page before you begin your coaching session.

Suggested Questions:

Î Define & Coach: When talking about recruiting in your position, how do you think the expectations for someone in your position are defined by the company? Î Rating Question: On a scale of one to six, with six representing that you adhere to that definition completely and totally, and one representing that you sometimes stray from those expectations, where would you rate yourself and why? Î Success Imperative: How can you specifically implement that definition successfully in your own recruiting strategies to help you reach a six?

Suggested Activities:

Î GOAL-Based Coaching: What does the individual wish to become Great at in their career? What Opportunities might present themselves to the individual as a result of becoming great? What Actions related to recruiting must the individual take to help put them on the fast track to reaching those opportunities? What will the individual Love about reaching these goals (this is their emotional connection to the goal)?
