Suggested Learning Projects:
Î Journal-Based Coaching: Ask the employee to keep a journal, noting times throughout the week where they have an opportunity to evaluate their own performance. Did they take a moment to do so? Did they feel as though their performance will benefit from their self-evaluation? Be prepared to discuss the entries at your next coaching session. Î Self-Directed Learning: Assign your coaching target to complete three practice self-evaluations to the best of their ability for three different days throughout the coming week.
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
Π30-Second Coaching: Take a brief period to verbally acknowledge improvement in one aspect of the individual’s performance that was mentioned in your GOAL discussion that the individual took the initiative on their own to improve.
