Suggested Learning Projects:
Î Success Imperative: Ask the employee to come back with three instances where they succeeded on the definition from the above activities. Why were these moments successful? Î Peer-to-Peer Coaching: Pair up members of the group and have them meet weekly to discuss opportunities to volunteer in the upcoming weeks. Ask each pair to present their ideas at your next coaching session for discussion and ultimately, participation.
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
Î Video-Based Coaching: Send the team an inspirational video of your choosing that gets to the heart of why people volunteer. This gets your team to think beyond themselves at least in the moment they’re watching the video, as well as after they’re done watching. Î Non-Verbal Coaching: Write the individuals on the team a note and leave it on their desk when you notice them exhibiting the behaviors and skills that were brainstormed in the Suggested Activities section. Be specific in describing what they did, when, and why it was appreciated.
