Acknowledging Peers’ Skills & Strengths
Suggested Strategy: Use Third-Party questions paired with Peer-to-Peer Coaching to help the individual learn of the benefits of praising and building up their peers and acknowledging their strengths and skills.
Suggested Questions:
Î Third-Party Question: If we were to ask your peers how often you acknowledge or praise their strengths, what do you think they might say and why? Î Self-Actualized Question: What actions do you think you would be committed to taking to boost your positive conversations with your peers? Î Success Imperative: How will praising the skills and strengths of your peers help not only those peers, but yourself reach the ultimate level of success?
Suggested Activities:
Î Brainstorming: Create a list of each of this person’s peers, along with one thing that the individual you are coaching believes each of those people are skilled at in the workplace. How will the individual you are coaching go about positively reinforcing each of those skills?
