Working with Other Disciplines
Suggested Strategy: Using a Third-Party Question, you can help bring awareness to how others perceive the way they work with other disciplines outside of the team.
Suggested Questions:
Î Third-Party Question: If we were to ask the folks outside of our team that we work with, how do you think they would describe your ability to work and communicate with individuals in different disciplines outside of our team? Î Self-Actualized Question: What specific actions do you think you must take to improve your ability to communicate with individuals in other disciplines outside of our team?
Suggested Activities:
Î Whiteboard Coaching: On the left side of a whiteboard, ask the individual to describe how they currently interact with folks outside of the team in other disciplines. On the right side of the board, write down what they believe the ideal interaction with someone outside of the team would look like. Then, erase the left side of the board and write down how the individual might specifically take action to help their interactions look like those on the right side of the board.
