Suggested Strategy: Start your coaching conversation by evaluating the knowledge necessary to be successful in long-term planning.
Suggested Questions:
Î Rating Question: On a scale of one to six, with six representing that you feel you possess the knowledge necessary to be successful through long-term planning, and one representing that you do not feel that you have a strong understanding of long-term planning, where would you honestly rate yourself and why? Î Self-Actualized Question: What specific actions do you think we can take together to help you reach a six?
Suggested Activities:
Î Brainstorming: Map out some long-term planning strategies that the individual can implement using practice scenarios where they may need that knowledge. Ask them to share with you what their plan might be, discuss how the long-term plan may play out, and then what they may want to adjust in the plan. Î Teach Me: Have the individual walk you through three specific ways in which they will utilize long-term planning in the coming week.
