Green Light: Let’s Get Going
1. What are you going to do to positively insert yourself as a great teammate? 2. What are you going to do to feel your mind positively engage with the rest of the team? 3. On a scale of one to six (6 is you are very positive all the time without exception, and 1 at times you can be a little negative), where would you rate yourself and why? After their response, ask what do we need to do to move you toward a 6?
Yellow Light: Needs Attention
1. While we’ve been coaching for a while, we need to pick up the pace in terms of your positivity towards your teammates and yourself. Hearing that, what do you think specifically needs to change and what is your openness to my suggestions? 2. What are two things you’re willing to do to increase your improvement when it comes to maintaining positivity on a more consistent basis?
Red Light: Needs Immediate Attention
1. Let me share a statement with you and I’ll ask you to reflect after I share it to give yourself ample time. Things need to turn around very quickly when it comes to your level of positivity and engagement with your teammates. Hearing that, what are you going to do and are willing to do starting tomorrow morning? (Do not ask for a response right then. Give them a good 24 hours to think about it and ask them to write it down.) 2. If someone who really trusted you told you that you needed to start maintaining positivity beginning tomorrow morning, how would you respond to them openly and honestly, knowing we need to improve things quickly?
