Green Light: Let’s Get Going
1. When it comes to communication, where do you feel like you have two specific strengths, and what is that one area of opportunity you know you have an opportunity to improve? 2. What is the one area of communication that would help you achieve your career goals if improved? 3. On a scale of 1 to 8 (8 is you’re a great communicator at all levels verbally and nonverbally because you do it flawlessly, and 1 you can be a little inconsistent or choppy with your communication), where would you rate yourself and why? The next question would be what would you do to move toward an 8?
Yellow Light: Needs Attention
1. One thing to consider is increasing your ability to communicate as it relates to your written skills. Hearing that, what will you specifically do to support that statement? 2. When it comes to clarity of communication knowing you have an opportunity to improve, what will you do to accelerate not only your effort but also the actual results of your communication?
Red Light: Needs Immediate Attention
1. When it comes to communication and clarity, we need to improve this starting ASAP, and I’d love to hear your suggestions of how we can go about doing that, as well as your openness to some suggestions I may have? 2. Knowing we have to turn things around quickly specifically to your written communication, how will that serve you well as it relates to your career goals especially if we started to improve tomorrow morning?
