Green Light: Let’s Get Going

1. Have the person(s) you’re coaching write down their definition of a great team and what it looks like. 2. After they’ve completed the first step, ask them to come in next week and share two examples of actions they took that fits into that definition, and the success they experienced because of it. 3. Ask them to share 1 area from the previous week that didn’t quite meet the expectations that were in the great team definition that perhaps they need to place a little more focus on, and what steps they’re going to take to address that.

Bring in 1 specific example where your action didn’t meet the expectations for team development, and what specific actions you’re going to take in the immediate future to increase the cadence of improving the team’s development in a very short time period. 3. Identify what barriers are currently keeping you from actively and positively developing the team, and how we can help you remove those barriers. Write them down.
