Decision Making: Ineffective

Green Light: Let’s Get Going

1. Write down what an effective decision looks like and the traits a person must have to be able to make effective decisions. Add to their definition with what you think is important and agree on that write-up together. 2. Next week come in and share two examples of where you made an effective decision and the success you experienced because of it. 3. Next week come in and share 1 example of where you hesitated to make a more effective decision, or the decision you made wasn’t as effective as you would’ve hoped, and what steps you’re going to take in the future to address or improve that.

Yellow Light: Needs Attention

1. Knowing we need to improve our decision-making skills and having them be more effective, come in next week with 2 examples where you successfully made an effective decision, and what success you experienced because of those. 2. Knowing we have a relatively short time period to improve our effective decision- making skills, come in next week with 1 example where you struggled with making an effective decision or a decision wasn’t nearly as effective as you would’ve hoped or expected, and what steps you’re going to take to achieve that.

Red Light: Needs Immediate Attention

1. Knowing we need to improve our effective decision-making skills in a really short time period, and we’ve already been trying to work on this for some time, come in tomorrow with two specific examples where you made effective decisions fairly quickly, and what success you experienced because of it. 2. Bring in 1 example where you struggled with making an effective decision, and what specific actions you’re going to take in the immediate future to improve that skill. 3. What barriers are currently keeping you from making more effective decisions in a quick manner, and how can we help you remove or address those barriers?
