Change

Suggestions to Start

1. Have everybody share a time in their life where they had to face change and how it served them well. This can be done the something that we call chaining the training via e-mail and forward the e-mail to the next person who adds their story and lesson, then forward to the next person to add theirs, etc, and the last person shares the email with everyone all together, ultimately providing visibility to everybody. 2. Ask people to share in an open chat (like Microsoft Teams or Slack) one change they’ve noticed that has had a positive impact on business. 3. Both these activities fuel the mind of the positive aspects of change.

More Aggressive Suggestions

1. Have everybody read the book Our Iceberg is Melting by John Kotter and provide two group coaching sessions without management involvement with people sharing what they learned from the book and what they’ve learned about themselves. 2. Another book The Three Levels of Change by John Kotter and conduct the same activity as above. 3. If you happen to have someone who’s struggling with change, provide a mentor of someone who does well with navigating change, and can show how to embrace and accept change openly and thoughtfully.
