Progress
Suggestions to Start
1. Progress is a very nebulous topic end term — ask people to define and illustrate what progress looks like generally and specifically where they would like to progress. 2. After they completed the first step, ask people to identify on their own and e-mail you three things they are doing to progress, and one potential barrier they might need help. Both these activities can be done virtually.
More Aggressive Suggestions
1. Have people read The Progress Principle by Teresa Amabile & Steven Kramer. Ask them after every chapter to write down what they learned and what they’re going to successfully apply. The premise of the book is people progress in baby steps and small doses of progress build up overtime. 2. While reading the book, provide people journals and have them write down each week two things where they felt like they progressed, and how it will help them achieve their motivator.
