Relationships
Suggestions to Start
1. One of the most simplistic and effective techniques for relationship building are rotating coffee breaks. Set up a peer-to-peer schedule where people meet with one another and simply share things outside of work to establish awareness and commonality. 2. After the first round of sharing is completed with everyone meeting with one another, then change up the objective from simply sharing to their favorite sports or favorite trips. The key is to maintain context of one another.
More Aggressive Suggestions
1. Ask people who are struggling with relationships to meet one person (potentially two people) every week and journal the things they learned about those people. This seems like a simple activity, yet it forces them to truly ask and listen. Have them send you a summary of who they met what they learned and how it’s going to help them in terms of workplace relationships.
