Sales
Suggestions to Start
1. Mark on the whiteboard with numbers from 70 to 80 to 90 to 100%. Keep the whiteboard open and ask people to write down where they’re currently at in terms of meeting their quota. They put their name within the range of the percentage and then list two actions they are going to take to move toward the 100% range or beyond. 2. This activity demonstrates commitment and vulnerability because when people share publicly, and it is risky, it provides a glimpse of where people are willing to improve.
More Aggressive Suggestions
1. There is nothing better than practice when it comes to sales. We simply do not practice enough. Create a rotating case-study-driven peer-to- peer practice sessions. Create a sales scenario that people can practice and ask people at least initially only for positive feedback on how their teammates did. This also builds greater acceptance of the practice sessions and develops greater team chemistry.
