Message from the Board of Trustees

Dear Huda Families, Asalamu Alaikum, It is that time of the year again when we get together and celebrate another year of success of Huda School, an institution we have all built together over the last 29 years, and at the same time renew our commitment to help it grow and prosper for many more years to come. The Huda School BOT is proud of our school’s academic excellence and strong Islamic principles. Our recent M-Step report is one of the latest evidence of our healthy academic progress, proof that we are in good standing and competing with the best schools in Michigan. Thanks to our students, teachers, office staff, and leaders from the administration and governing board, and of course a huge thank you to our wonderful community. The enrollment in the school has steadily grown in the last years; the number of the students this year is the best in the history of Huda. We realize that our community has other schooling options and choosing & trusting us is a big honor that we are so proud of, and we renew our pledge to do the best we can to meet & even exceed your expectations. This is Huda’s ninth year of offering the International Baccalaureate program to Middle School students. We have seen the fruits of IB in the classroom in advancing students’ understanding of various concepts and the connections between them. Our Quranic, Arabic, and Islamic Studies Department have been working hard to enhance our student’s Islamic knowledge, with special focus on building character with high social and moral Islamic standard. Three years ago, we also launched Huda School’s Endowment Fund. With the help of Allah, who has blessed this school with a generous community and good market performance in most of the last year, the fund has grown substantially in a relatively short time. As you may remember, this fund was set up with the goal to ensure the school’s long term financial stability and constantly advancing its quality of service. Please consider contributing to such good form of Sadaqa-e-Jariah Insha Allah. Last but not least, the BOT thanks the school PTO and our volunteers in general for their hard work and priceless contribution to the school. Jazakum Allah Khaira. Thank you for your trust & support, Huda School Board of Trustees

Executive Committee

Dear Huda School Parents, Alumni, & Supporters of Huda,

Asalamu alaikum,

The Executive Committee is proud to celebrate another great year at Huda School. With your continuous support and duas, we look forward to the continued academic, spiritual, and community growth we've come to see over the years inshAllah. Every year, we make efforts to invest in our children through enhancements in academic curricula, advancements in teacher training, and additions to our building and infrastructure. Alhamdulilah, with your generous contributions, last year we were able to fund new lunch tables for the cafeteria, advance the ELA and math curriculum, provide state-of-the-art training to our early education team, and institute an Islamic studies character building program for upper elementary and middle school. Huda School is a special place, with a dedicated and professional staff that portrays the love and care to our students as if they were family, an administration always raising the bar of excellence, and of course, we have our amazing network of PTO and parent volunteers always ready to support the school and the students. Huda School is always striving towards bigger and better things, and it is only through the prayers and financial support from the community that Huda School can continue to produce the next generation of Muslim American leaders. The Executive Committee members are humbled to serve Allah swt by supporting Huda School. A special thank you to former members: Br. Moqeem Syed, Sr. Ranya Obeid, and Sr. Ayesha Siddiqui - may Allah SWT reward you.

2019 Annual Fundraiser & Student Performances

the Principal

Dear Beloved Huda Family, Asalamu alaikum,

Welcome to our 2019 Annual Fundraiser and Student Performances! We are honored to have you here today as we celebrate Huda School’s students, staff, parents, and accomplishments. There are currently 3.45 million Muslims in the United States - half of which are the youth. Huda's students are our future leaders - our youth are taught to encompass the skills and character necessary to be successful Muslim-Americans. In combination with rigorous academics, Islamic principles, and community service, Huda students are well-equipped to enact our motto of Dream, Believe, Achieve and Serve throughout their school career and beyond. The mission of Huda School is to inspire academic excellence, develop caring and responsible Muslim Americans citizens, and cultivate intercultural understanding and respect. Our highly qualified and caring staff work hard to guide our Huda students to reach their highest potential. Students are taught to use higher-order thinking skills and apply their knowledge to the real world - skills highly necessary in today's society. Outstanding character is emphasized and infused throughout the curricula. We know that our success is, first and foremost, from Allah (SWT). In combination with the effort inputted by teachers and students, our parents' and community's involvement help propel our students' success upwards and forwards. As a team working together in all aspects of our students' school life, the community, parents, and school will provide a lasting effect on the education of our future leaders. We know a strong financial partnership with you will make a great difference in our students' education. Please join me in recommitting your financial support to Huda School. Your continued financial support helps expand and enhance the quality of our programming and together we can ensure its growth and success. Jazak a llah Kha ir, Mona Helmy
