Enjoy the flavors of Jefferson County in early March during Restaurant Week . Support our local restaurants and enjoy amazing flavors and specials. The city of Charles Town hosts WV Fest each June. The festival is perfect for local citizens, heritage enthusiasts and tourists to learn about Charles Town's unique history in a family‑friendly environment.
The Event Center at Hollywood Casino brings some of the biggest live music acts, comedians and stage shows to Charles Town. With a capacity of up to 1,500 people, state of the art sound, lighting and video screens, it has become one of the premier performance venues in the Washington - Baltimore metropolitan area. Housed at Shepherd University, the Contemporary American Theater Festival has earned a reputation as one of the best new play festivals in the country. Every July, patrons from thirty-eight states, DC, and across the globe, flock to Shepherdstown for the festival. The magic of rotating repertory allows audience members to see all six plays in as little as two days. The Charles Town Car Show held annually Labor Day weekend is the premier car show in the region featuring over 400 cars. Starting Friday nights with a cruise-in, the city of Charles Town shuts down the main street for over six city blocks.
Frosty Fest is a new annual event in late January launched in 2022. This 4-day winter celebration includes winter activities in Bolivar, Charles Town, Harpers Ferry and Shepherdstown. Ice skating, scavenger hunt, comedy club, and more!
