Colored Flannelgraph Stories $1.50 Series

Attention, Service Men and Women Good news, for the men and women in our Armed Forces who desire to continue their education following the close of the war is contained in the GI Bill of Rights, recently passed by Congress. .Under the provisions of - the Bill those who desire to take either the three or the four- year Course at the Bible In stitute will be allowed cer tain generous benefits. These benefits will, according to our understanding, include the cost of board and room, the payment of Incidental fees, the cost of books and certain other individual necessities. We are sure that many young people now in service will see in this a golden opportu nity to further their Christian education in the Bible Insti tute of Los Angeles. A full semester of credit, or sixteen units, will automati cally be given to all veterans upon enrollment. For those who desire further informa tion, a letter of inquiry should be addressed to Dean S. H. Sutherland, 558 S. Hope St., Los Angfeles 13, Calif.

The matter .of the survival of the Christian church in Japan is a ques tion in the minds of many leaders. Whether or not those who have been born again by the Spirit of God could survive these years of unbelievable persecution has been debated. How ever, this is not a new situation for believers. On the first pages of church history we find the e a r l y Christian church going through the worst perse cution it ever knew. The blood of the martyrs was indeed the seed of the church; the worship of the Lord Jesus under persecution grew deeper and stronger; converts increased. Our opinion is that when the smoke is cleared away and we are able to see what has happened in Japan, we will find that the real born-again Christians have endured and that the churches have increased. They may not have buildings or organizations, but they will have grown in love, in true spirituality and in fellowship with Christ. [ Continued on Page 199]
