thy grain, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herd and of thy flock; that thou may- est learn to fear the Lord thy God MY PILOT KNOWS THE SEA I know my Pilot knows the sea That's all unknown to me; So I commit my all to Him, Though skies be bright or dim; For nothing's hidden from His sight By day or darkest night; He knows the way across the foam To my sweet heav'nly home. I know my Pilot knows the sea That's out ahead*of me; He knows where all the dangers are Close by or out afar; And some good day when sailing s o'er He'll land me on that shore Where I shall see His blessed face And praise Him for His grace. I know my Pilot knows the sea— He knows and cares for me; Although the surging billows roll, He guards my life and soul. I will not, cannot doubt His love That flows down from above, And makes me know there is sweet rest For ev'ry Christian's breast. I know my Pilot knows the sea, Therefore He Comforts me When waves roll high and storms abound And dangerous voices sound That would be cause for me to quake I know my Pilot knows the sea And kindly says to me: I own the Ship in which you sail That weathers ev'ry gale. I'll guide you from the rockribbed shores As I have countless scores. And when the sea's too rough and ill I'll say to it, be still. — Walter E. Isenhour always. And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou are not able to carry it, because the place is too far And doubt the way I take; But in my Pilot's tender care I'm safe just anywhere.

tian giving is individual? “Let every one of you lay by him in store.” I t is not something that someone else can do for you. To acquiese in this prac tice is for the believer to surrender his right and duty to determine under God, for himself where his steward ship of money is to be used in the Lord’s work. Secondly, if the Scrip ture is searched, it will be found that this whole theory, lock, stock and bar rel, is built on Malachi 3:10. This is the way that verse reads: “Bring ye the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” The storehouse of the Old Testa ment was certainly not the Church of Christ, nor a local body of believers in the New Testament sense, for the Church was not yet in existence. The Church was born at Pentecost, and no where in the Bible is the Church des ignated as a storehouse of any kind. Actually, in Israel these storehouses were the repositories for the tithe that went for the support of the Le- vites and the priests. They had no land of their own, these Levites; they lived off the tithe of the rest of the nation. There had to be distributing points throughout the land for this process. The New Testament princi ple, as I have said, is I Corinthians 16:2, “lay by him,” not in a store house, buy “lay by him in store,” not where someone else conceives it should go. Each is responsible for his own money. Thirdly, if the Old Testament prac tice in Malachi 3:10 is insisted on, then are the advocates of this errone ous theory prepared to go all the way with what was done with the tithe in the Old Testament? Let us look at Deuteronomy 14:22-26: “Thou shalt surely tithe all the increase of thy seed, that which cometh forth from the field year by year. And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, in the place which He shall choose to cause His name to dwell there, the tithe of
