Remediation Group is a Licensed Asbestos Abatement and Lead Contractor. Properties built in the early 1980’s or earlier may contain Asbestos Contain- ing Materials (ACM). We consider no job too small or too large to handle.

Contents Handling & Cleaning

When your home or property is involved in a mold incident or water dam- age, one of the first questions that occurs once the primary loss is under control is, “What should I do with my belongings?” Remediation Group, Inc. proudly and confidently guides our clients as they make decisions on what needs to be packed in or packed out of the affected areas. We as- sist you in the packing, cleaning, deodorizing and storing of your contents.

Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration

A fire can result in major destruction to a space. The smoke and soot dam- age along with the resulting water damage, requires site cleanup and res- toration to recover what was once a sound structure. Remediation Group, Inc. uses the latest industry standard cleaning processes, such as par- ticulate removal sponges, ionized air washing, and a variety of deodor- ization techniques to remove soot damage from framing and concrete.

ASK US ABOUT DRY ICE BLASTING! Great for Crawlspaces and Basements

Check out this video highlighting one of our remediation methods!

At Remediation Group, we use state-of-the-art technologies every step of the way, including the dry ice blasting process. The dry ice blasting process is a new cleaning process that uses CO2 pellets (dry ice) for blast cleaning surfaces. It is similar to high-pressure washing, sand or glass bead blasting, but uses CO2 ice for more effective cleaning of biological matter like mold. It is a less messy procedure than water-based or sand-based blasting. With dry ice blasting, the pellets evaporate upon contact, leaving no residue or by-product. Due to environmen- tal and production advantages, this method is quickly becoming the preferred cleaning method for industrial and specialty cleaning applications.

Ron W. Having experienced water damage in my condo, Remediation Group was called out. During the process they were responsive, communicated beautifully, sent daily progress reports and handled the process seamlessly. Having found out they provide Reconstructive Services, it’s a “No-Brainer!” I’ll be using them as it is like 1 Stop Shopping! Extremely convenient! Leah E. Using Remediation Group was the best decision I have ever made. Throughout the entire process, they made me a top prior - ity and helped me see the light at the end of the water damage tunnel. From the remediation, reconstruction, all the way to the final walk through, their team was professional and made the process painless. Tim was an incredible asset! Thank you for making my place a home again! Lydia P. My experience working with the Remediation Group was a 5-star experience from start to finish! They responded promptly when we noticed that we had a leak and gave a comprehensive evaluation that outlined the entire process and explained all the possible scenarios for work/outcomes and then got to work quickly. Their staff was very knowledgeable and approach - able! I work from home and their work crew was always polite, prompt, and personable! This was my first time working with a remediation company, but as far as I am concerned if I or anyone I know has a remediation need, my business and referrals belong to Remediation Group. Atlanta is lucky to have such a great service provider! Jennifer T. Remediation Group to the rescue after catastrophic tree damage! An oak tree sliced through our home in October 2020. A friend who shared this experience recommended Remediation Group- and we are so grateful she did! Fred, Brandon, and the entire Emergency Response Team jumped into action immediately to protect our home and belongings. They took extreme care with an entire household of stuff- wrapping every item so carefully to store during our rebuild. They took care of every - thing, from installing dehumidifiers and building protective structures to protect against the elements during a long rebuild phase. They worked closely with our insurance company and made it possible for us to focus on rebuilding. Their team even moved all of our stuff back in AND unpacked us! Highly recommend to anyone needing emergency services. Clark M. We originally contracted Remediation Group to rescue us from water damage when our washing machine flooded three floors of our house. The damage was extensive, and the rebuild was quite involved. Nonetheless, we were very pleased with both the quality of their work and their care and responsiveness in helping us through the upheaval. We were so happy with their work that we then contracted them for a remodeling job we had been dreaming of for a long time: the addition of a screened-in porch. Once again, the work was done beautifully and with great professionalism. We could not be happier; this addition has remade our home to a degree that we didn’t expect. Caroline R. Remediation Group did a wonderful job repairing the ceiling and walls of my condo when a main sewer line backup caused the upstairs unit to flood and leak through my ceiling. They came in and cleaned and removed the contaminated drywall and then repaired and painted it. They always made sure to cover and protect any cabinets, counters or doors. They made sure all furniture and flooring was covered as well, even the flooring from the front door to the area they were working on. All project managers I worked with throughout the process were helpful and responsive and always answered any question I had. They made sure the work was done correctly and accurately and addressed and fixed any concerns I had. They left the area cleaner than they found it and made sure I was completely happy with the outcome before leaving. Although I hope nothing happens again, if it does I would call RGI in a heartbeat.

My HVAC was leaking for days without me knowing... RGI showed up the same day, removed the damaged materials, and dried out the basement. Highly recommended! Jeff S. We were all on vacation in the Dominican Republic for eight days while at home a line to our Jack & Jill bathroom toilet broke and flooded much of the top floor of our house as well as coming through the ceiling of our kitchen and dining room down - stairs. Returning home and seeing all that (as well as water dripping from our kitchen can lights) was certainly shocking to say the least. Remediation Group responded to our calls for help very quickly. From then on, a total of almost five months, they were nothing short of exceptional! From communication with them, to their quick response time, to them keeping us accurately posted through a very difficult time in our lives, to their much needed assistance with our materials replacement supplier and our insurance company were all so very comforting and helpful every step of the way. Perhaps the best part of dealing with all of them was the feeling that they were truly concerned about what we went through and did everything in their power to be as accommodating as possible from demolition to reconstruction. The end result is we couldn’t be happier with the way our home turned out! For anyone who is or will be experiencing a problem such as or similar to the one we had, we absolutely, positively suggest you contact Remediation Group. Luisa T. Wonderful customer service! We had a water main break that needed attention in the middle of the night and they respond - ed quickly. The crew was at our house in no time to start the drying process. They were very knowledgeable and helped us with the insurance claim process. I defiantly recommend this company! Anonymous My upstairs neighbors had a slow leak that caused water damage in my unit. Remediation Group handled the remediation and remodel seamlessly and my home looks exactly like it did before the incident (which is what I wanted)! They were also very responsive with me and insurance. Lexie D. I highly recommend Remediation Group! Their team is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Within as little as 20 min - utes, a friendly and professional team can be at your property ready to resolve any emergency. From the initial remediation and pack out to the final reconstruction complete with improvements and betterments, RGI is a one-stop-shop. Not only do they do the entire process from start to finish, but they do it well! Al B. We had a significant water issue in two rooms of our home due to sprinklers that had been ruining nonstop against the house for days and the water had leaked in through windows. We had heard positive things about Remediation Group and I decided to give them a call on a Saturday afternoon just trying to leave a message for Monday and not expecting to hear from them until the first of the week. I was pleasantly surprised when they actually answered and were very interested to hear about my situation. They immediately told me their truck was finishing up a job in town not too far away and they can come by to help us. Sure enough, they was here quickly and extracted the water and then placed high powered fans in both rooms as well as a humidifier to dry the carpet. I feel certain these folks knew that leaving the water in our carpet over the weekend would risk mold setting in, so they went the extra mile to do as much as they could on an early Saturday evening! They worked us into their schedule that week so they could come by and check on the drying progress. Their estimate on drying time was spot on! They always called before they came and were right on time. They work efficiently, but took the time to explain if a question comes up, which we appreciated! Their pricing is very reasonable and we would definitely use them again! Thank you and “job well done”!

ACAC Accreditation Third-Party Approval

Accreditation is the independent testimony of a third-party observer that an organization’s program is developed and operated in compliance with nationally recognized standards.

The Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB), founded in 1991, has established a national reputation for accrediting certification programs in engineering and science-related fields. The National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), founded in 1989, likewise enjoys a national reputation as an independent accrediting body for professional certification programs.

18

© RGI 2024

ACAC Accreditation High Standards

In order to qualify for CESB or NCCA accreditation, a certification program must meet high standards of program operation: • It must be administratively independent of other organizations in matters pertaining to certification;

• Its certifying body must consist of a majority of certified individuals;

• It must provide the public and consumers with an opportunity for input into its policies and decisions;

• It must follow strict rules for public disclosure of certification-related activities;

• It must follow strict rules for test development, evaluation and administration;

ACAC offers the only CESB and/or NCCA accredited designations dedicated to the field of indoor air quality. Though its board-awarded designations meet all these requirements and more, the same cannot be said of many other professional certification programs. Other organizations allow office staffers to grant certification in exchange for payment of fees and passing a simple examination based on a mandatory course with limited information. Field experience is rarely required, much less verified. As a result, "instant certifications" from such organizations are nearly worthless when challenged in court. • It must enforce stringent eligibility requirements for all candidates, including (in the case of CESB accreditation) eight years of education and/or field experience for engineering- related designations and two to five years of education and/or field experience for engineering-technician designations.

What To Do In A Catastrophe

Fire Damage

DO

• Limit movement in damaged areas to prevent soot particles from being embedded in upholstery and carpet.

• Place dry, colorfast towels on rugs, upholstery, and carpeted areas.

• Change HVAC filter, but leave the system turned off until checked by a professional.

• Cover air registers with cloth to prevent particles from getting into or out of the HVAC system.

• Keep hands clean when handling soot-covered items to prevent spreading.

DON’T

• Clean clothing, upholstery, or carpet yourself. Improper cleaning may cause permanent damage.

• Turn on light switches or electrical appliances as there may be damage behind the walls.

• Wash any walls without consulting a professional. Incorrect cleaning could cause further soot dam-age.

Clean Water Damage

DO

• Shut off water source or contact a professional to help. KNOW WHERE THE WATER SHUT-OFF VALVE IS IN YOUR UNIT!

• Turn off circuit breakers that are supplying electricity to the affected areas.

• Remove excess water from flooring and furniture using mops, towels, wet-vacuum, etc.

• Place furniture blocks between furniture and wet flooring to prevent wicking (secondary damage).

• Move important articles, valuables, and documents to a dry area.

DON’T

• Use a household vacuum to remove excess water. You could be electrocuted.

• Leave items with dyes or inks on wet carpet or furniture (books, magazines, etc.).

• Turn on light switches or electrical appliances as there may be damage behind the walls.

• Avoid contact with sewage-contaminated items.

• Wash your hands and body if you handle sewage-contaminated items.

• Contact a health professional at the first sign of adverse health effects due to exposure to sewage-contaminated water or items.
