Mathematics in the Modern World aims to show that mathematics is beyond numbers. It is a combination of abstract elements put together to form an avenue that can lead learners to possess the desired skills to succeed in their chosen endeavors. It will allow learners to explore varied concepts that are beyond what they have been taught and experienced. These are embodied in the activities presented in the module and are intended to enhance learners’ critical thinking skills. ABOUT THE AUTHORS
ESMERALDA A. MANLULU
She is a licensed teacher, teaching various mathematics subjects from junior high school to college. She finished her undergraduate course at the Philippine Normal University and her Master of Arts in Education major in Math at the National Teachers College.
LIZA MARIE M. HIPOLITO
She is a licensed teacher. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Math with Applications in Actuarial Science/Statistics and pursued her Master of Science in Math from De La Salle University in Taft, Manila. She teaches various mathematics subjects in college.
