Supply Chain Management in Hospitality Industry

This textbook describes the skills, knowledge, and performance outcomes required to understand the basic concepts of managing the complete movement of products or services in a supply chain, from the suppliers to the customers, in the hospitality industry. It also emphasizes identifying the effects of current and future trends in supply chain management and assessing the processes and performances in a supply chain to optimize processes into a seamless, innovative, and most cost-effective way to help hospitality establishments build a competitive edge.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

MICHAEL BHOBET B. BALUYOT, DHM, CHP

He is currently the Business Operations Consultant of Bistro Alliance Corporation and a faculty member of the Technological University of the Philippines- Manila. He is also a part-time university lecturer at Jose Rizal University, San Juan De Dios Educational Foundation Inc. College, and Philippine Women’s University-Manila. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (cum laude) at the Bataan Peninsula State University. He earned both his Master of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management and Doctorate in Hospitality Management from the Philippine Women’s University-Manila. Dr. Baluyot is also an active hospitality and tourism researcher, a resource speaker, and a Certified Hospitality Professional. Dr. Baluyot’s innovation and transformation in teaching and learning are well-recognized, as he was one of the recipients of the Global Leaders and Educators Award 2021, the Excellence in Leadership Award, and an awardee in the Accounting, Business, and Management Category by the Beyond Books Publication Philippines during its International Multidisciplinary Research Conference held on April 10, 2021.
