Entrepreneurship in Tourism and Hospitality

The application of the complex yet very relevant world of entrepreneurship is explored in the context of the exciting and valuable tourism and hospitality industry. ABOUT THE AUTHORS

EUNICE MARETH Q. AREOLA, PH.D. HSG

She was named UN Pioneer Professor of Sustainability, Diplomate in Business Education (Philippine Academy of Professionals in Business Education), an Outstanding Educator in Management (Philippine Council of Deans and Educators in Business and Commission on Higher Education), Luis I. Ablaza, Jr. Distinguished Professorial Chair in Entrepreneurship (San Beda College Alumni Foundation, Inc.), Outstanding Entrepreneurship Educator (Entrepreneurship Educators Association of the Philippines), and Outstanding Alumni Awardee (Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila). She is an international speaker, innovation coach, sustainability mentor, consultancy entrepreneur, and intrepid traveler. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Management from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Her academic experience, which spans 30 years, includes being a department chairman, an undergraduate and graduate school dean, and a vice president for academic affairs. Currently, she is the Director for Academic Affairs of the UST Angelicum College.

RONALD G. MANZANO, DBA

He is the department head of the Tourism Management program under the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the Trinity University of Asia. He started his professional career at the Department of Tourism, where he developed his skills and gained valuable experiences as a tourism practitioner. He put together his experiences as a professional in the tourism industry and as an academician to serve as inspiration in writing his books. This is his second book under Rex Book Store, Inc. Dr. Manzano is a researcher, graduate school lecturer, consultant, academic paper reviewer, and adviser.

FERNANDO V. TRINIDAD III, DBA

He is the dean of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the Trinity University of Asia. He is a member of the CHED Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) for Hospitality and Tourism Management/Entrepreneurship and of the Hospitality and Tourism Council of Deans of CHED- NCR. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management at the University of the Philippines-Asian Institute of Tourism. He completed various graduate degrees at the Asian Institute of Management, Boston University, the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Graduate School, and Harvard University. He is a constant traveler, a gastronomer, and an entrepreneur.
