A Course Module for Technology for Teaching and Learning 1 is a self-instructional module that explores basic knowledge, skills, and values in using technology for teaching and learning. It includes ICT policies and safety issues, media and technology in various content areas, learning theories and principles in the design and delivery of lessons, and administration of assessment tasks that utilize appropriate traditional and innovative technologies with social, ethical, and legal responsibility in the use of technology tools and resources. This module adheres to the constructivist and outcome-based approach to curriculum design. It utilizes a clear instructional design that aims to develop self-directed and self-empowered learners. ABOUT THE AUTHORS

ELEN JOY ALATA-BRUZA

She is the English Coordinator of the high school unit of St. Scholastica’s College, Manila. She teaches Practical Research writing. She is one of the authors of A Course Module for Purposive Communication, A Course Module for Content and Pedagogy for the Mother Tongue, A Course Module for Teaching Strategies for Elementary Science (Physics, Earth, and Space Science), and the education textbook Building and Enhancing New Literacies across the Curriculum. She took her Bachelor of Secondary Education (Communication Arts) and Master of Arts in Education (Curriculum Studies) from the University of the Philippines-Diliman. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in educational administration at the same university. Her passion includes curriculum design, curriculum evaluation, research, and instructional design.

PRINCE KENNEX R. ALDAMA

He is an assistant professor of sociology in the Department of Social Sciences at the University of the Philippines-Los Baños (UPLB). He teaches various sociology courses and general education courses (GEC). He is the author of the GEC textbook The Contemporary World and one of the authors of the education textbook Personhood Education: Curriculum, Pedagogy, and Assessment, both published by Rex Book Store, Inc. He is a graduate of BA in Sociology (cum laude) and MA in Sociology at UPLB.

FERDINAND BULUSAN

He has a wide latitude of academic experiences as a licensed professional teacher, an author, a teacher-trainer, a researcher, a campus paper adviser, a university research consultant, and an editor. He is an assistant professor of English and professional education at Batanes State College. He is a review master for the Board Licensure Exam for Teachers at various universities and review centers, and he holds degrees in Bachelor in Secondary Education- English (magna cum laude) and Master of Arts in Education-English. He also completed units in Doctor of Philosophy in Rhetoric and Linguistics. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Language Education-English (magna cum laude) from Saint Louis University, Baguio City. In 2018, he received two national awards as one of the Most Outstanding Educator-Writers and Filipino Achievers of the Year.
