PoSH prevention of sexual harassment of women at workplace prohibition and redressal
A watershed moment arrived in India in 2013, with the enactment of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. This Act provides adequate protection to women at the workplace against this menace. Now, legally, employers need to ensure strict compliance with the provisions of this Act by framing and implementing a comprehensive policy on Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) of women at workplace. This shall further ensure the creation of a gender sensitive work environment.
