Brooks and Black lead FPHS Class of 2024 SALUTATORIAN Lizzie Black, daughter
VALEDICTORIAN Mallory Brooks, daughter of Karla Wells and James Brooks, is Fort Payne’s Class of 2024 valedictorian. Mallory has a grade point average of 4.47 and a composite superscore of 31 on the ACT. Mallory is a proud member of National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Science Club, and Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America. Mallory has also developed a passion for the culinary arts throughout high school, especially baking and pastry, and would love to pursue it outside high school. After graduation, Mallory plans to attend Northeast Alabama Community College to pursue a degree in business.

Lizzie is a member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, FPHS’s Drama department, and the Yearbook Staff. During her tenure on the competitive drama team, they have won a state title for best Technical Production and Best In Show (top 5). Lizzie was also chosen for the All- Star Cast award during her senior year performance. She also represented FPHS as the school mascot and Mrs. FPHS her senior year. Lizzie plans to attend the University of Alabama to study computer science.
