KIDZ KORNER Every Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Old Town Square off North Street, you can take part in the family program Kidz Korner. The event is ladened with activities kids can take part in, provided by the Children’s Science Center, Art of Problem Solving, and Hidden Oaks Nature Center. It’s the perfect place to get your kids interacting with other children and a last hurrah before the new school year begins. RUN BABY RUN On Aug. 18, from 7:30–11 a.m., you can support a great cause. CCI Health &Wellness Services has put together a 5K to raise funds to support affordable prenatal care in Prince George’s County community. Run Baby Run will take place at 2000 Shorefield Road in Silver Spring, Maryland. Registration and check-in will begin at 7:30 a.m. 5K AND KIDS RUN Coming back for its 25th Anniversary, the Kentlands/Lakelands 5K Run, Walk, and Kids’ Fun Runs will take place on Sept. 1 this year. The event takes place at 620 Center Point Way in Gaithersburg. It starts on Main Street by the Kentlands/Lakelands Market with the Kid’s Fun Runs at 8 a.m. Afterward, the 5K run will take place, curving through the new urbanist communities of Kentlands and Lakelands of Gaithersburg.
