STYLING THE BEDROOM

DECORAT ING T I PS • We spend a third of our lives in bed, so encourage your client to invest in the best quality and comfort for their bed. • Think about textures: add a chunky pillow and faux fur or cashmere to the end of the bed • Show the bed 3 different ways for the customer. Give them options. •  Is time an issue in the morning? A duvet is practical because it can be made quickly. Sheets, quilts and coverlets create a gorgeous layered look, and take more time to make each day. • An all white bed is classic — think about adding a pop of color with sheets that have a trim or a plaid blanket at the foot of the bed. • Suggest a plush rug for bare feet. • Showcase photos and special objects on ledges. • Place a couple stacks of interesting books on the bedside table or dresser that reflect the client’s personality. • Fresh flowers in the bedroom add a connection to nature and a soothing scent. • For a Guest Bedroom consider the following: • - Bath items and toiletries • - Carafe for bedside • - Robe, towel and books • Offer to help them change the look of the bedroom each season — you can adjust the color palette with a simple change of bedding, pillows and décor. • Don’t forget the bathroom! We have towels, bath mats, shower curtains and robes to finish off the suite.
