• Make safety a focus at all times • Be on time to an appointment. Call the client promptly if you are running behind schedule. • Obey all traffic and parking regulations. Associates will be responsible for any traffic or parking violations that occur during or in transit to the in-home appointment. General parking fees are reimbursable. • Offer additional Williams Sonoma services as appropriate, including expertise from another brand’s Design Specialist if needed. • After consultations, make notes in the client’s file for future reference.
• Offer a discount beyond the appropriate volume discount or current promotion. • Drink alcohol at the customer’s home. • Perform duties in the customer’s home beyond your design consultation responsibilities. This includes painting, hanging anything on the walls or moving the client’s furniture. • Be alone in a room with your customer’s child/children. • Stay alone in the home with the contractor, designer or anyone other than the homeowner. • Drive your customer anywhere or enter a car with them.
