Custom Ford 9" Housings
Custom Ford 9" housings can be built to any width and pinion location with floating axle style pins or standard flanged axle ends. Floating axle style housings are avail- able with most 5x5 or Wide 5 hub pins. Standard flanged axle housings can be ordered with Small Ford, Early Big Ford or Late/Torino Big Ford ends. All housings feature select used center sections, new 3" O.D. x 3/16" wall axle tubes installed and completely jig-welded for straightness. To order please call and request a special-order form then fill in all required information and return to us with a sig- nature attached. Housings are jig welded for correct alignment using a select used center section, new 3" O.D. x 3/16" wall axle tubes and include gear case mounting studs, fill and drain plugs. Note: Axles are sold separately. Example: Bare housing ALL68702 is 60" from hub face to hub face and the pinion is located 2" to the left of the housing centerline when viewed from rear of housing.* Notes: Please measure and inspect housing before welding brackets or painting. Housing is non-returnable if modified or custom. Welding suspension brackets on rear end housings can cause warping. Check for straightness after welding. Pinion Centering Jig ALL68370 Pinion centering jig fastens to the rear end housing and locates the pinion centerline when building or narrowing housings. Machined slots are designed to retain most tape measure ends for accurate measurements. Applications include GM 12 and 14-Bolt, Dana 44 and 60, Chrysler 8-3/4", and Ford 8.8" and 9" housings. Ford 9" Truss Support ALL68330 Weld-on support adds strength to rear axle housing and reduces unwanted flex during extreme torque. Constructed of 12 gauge (.108") steel. 36" L x 2" W.
Steel Hot Rod housings are built with all new components. The pumpkin section is centered, so the pinion yoke is offset approximately 1" to the right allowing
for symmetric tube bracketry on each side. Includes vent, pumpkin studs and bearing retainer t-bolts. Tube diam- eter is 3" with 3/16" wall thickness and features large bearing late/Torino style ends. Axles sold separately. Width measurements are from axle flange to axle flange.
