Steering Shaft Tubing Seamless D.O.M. tubing is 3/4" O.D. with .120" wall thickness, making this an excellent choice when building a steering assembly to connect steering wheel to steering box or rack and pinion. ALL52132 oversized rod end is commonly used to support steering shaft. Consult sanc- tioning rules to verify proper installation when building a steering assembly.
Collapsible Steering Shafts
Collapsible shaft is designed to be used in-line near the rack and pinion or steering box, allowing steering shaft compression. For proper installation, shaft should be extended when installed. The heavy wall, 1.140" diameter tubular steel shaft has 3/4"-20 splines on both ends. The durable rubber boot keeps the sliding mechanism free of dirt and debris. Note: This shaft is NOT designed for directly attaching a steering wheel disconnect. ALL52170 ............ Long Assembly 24-1/2", Collapses 7" ALL52171 ............ Solid steel shaft has the appearance of two D‘s stacked back to back when viewed from the end or simply a 3/4" round shaft with flats on opposite sides. Often used with stock type couplers, this shaft can be used in assemblies without welding. Commonly connected to U-joints using a set screw, the shaft should be dimple drilled to help pilot set screws and help prevent the assembly from sliding apart. ALL52132 oversized rod end is commonly used to support steering shaft. Consult sanctioning rules to verify proper installation when building a steering assembly.

An oversize rod end (sold separately, ALL52132) mounts horizontally through a 3/4" hole, allowing some left to right adjustment without moving the bracket or notching the interior panel.
Steering Shaft Rod End Mounting Tab ALL52133
Steering Quickener Bracket ALL60028
Gusseted weld-on tab provides an excellent mounting point for the 3/4" oversized rod end (ALL52132) when building custom steering shaft assemblies. Tab is designed to cradle into round chassis tubing with built-in gussets, adding strength and reducing flex.
Mounts all popular steering quickeners including AFCO, Coleman and Howe. Bracket has two holes spaced 1-3/4" apart, and may be welded to 1-1/2" or 1-3/4" diameter tubing.
