GM Rear Brake Rotor ALL42095 Hat style brake rotor with 5 on 4-3/4" pattern can be used with ALL42180 and ALL42181 7.5" metric caliper brackets and stock type axles. 11-5/8" vented rotor is .790" thick and has a 2.800" I.D. center indexing hole to work with most metric style axle flanges with a maximum O.D. of 6". Late Model And Modified Brake Rotor ALL42011 Lightweight solid rotor for Late Models and Modifieds. Use any- where reduction of un-sprung weight is desirable. Rotor is scal- loped to provide maximum weight loss without compromising braking performance or rotor durability. Rotor is steel 8-bolt with a 7" bolt circle, 11.75" diameter and .250" thickness.
TECH TIP The term “Metric Chassis” commonly refers to the intermediate line of GM cars built from 1978 through 1988 including the Chevrolet Monte Carlo and Malibu, Oldsmobile Cutlass, Buick Regal and the Pontiac Grand Prix. These chassis are very similar but they also have some differences. One of the major differences applies to the front steering spindles and brake rotors. There were three different brake rotors used and two different spindles. 1978 year vehicles used a spindle/rotor combination that was a one-year production. 1979-88 vehicles used the same spindle but utilized two different brake rotors. These rotors appear very similar but the 1979-81 use a brake rotor with a larger outer bearing and race than the 1982-88 model years. These rotors may be interchanged but will require the matching outer bearing for proper installation.
