Warning kit senses pres- sure in the cooling system and alerts driver of a problem when coolant pressure drops
below 4 PSI. In the event of coolant loss (i.e. blown radiator hose). The temperature
gauge probe is no longer surrounded by coolant to detect the engine temperature, this will lead to a false temperature gauge reading and major engine damage. Temperature Gauge Probe Adapters Aluminum adapters are a nice upgrade from brass adapters and feature a longer length for use in shallow applications when the mechan- ical temperature gauge probe may contact the inside of a cylinder head or intake manifold. Extra length of fitting will still allow end of probe to protrude into the coolant for accurate readings.
