June 25, 2024 2024 In June 2024, Adrienne Johnston, President and CEO of CareerSource Florida, visited the Tampa Bay area. During her visit, she participated in board and subcommittee meetings, toured various facilities, and highlighted workforce initiatives, including Sail Future Academy, Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, Pinellas Technical College, New Beginnings of Tampa, and the ACE program at Ultimate Medical Academy.

April 16, 2024 CareerSource Tampa Bay hosted the "Springtime When Opportunities Blossom" job fair at the American Legion Post 26 in Plant City. This event aimed to connect job seekers with local employers, fostering community engagement and employment opportunities within the region.

November 2023 CareerSource Tampa Bay’s Tampa Bay Hires program celebrated the Penn Foster Graduation, honoring individuals who earned their high school diplomas through the online program with support from workforce development initiatives.

May 16, 2024 The CareerSource Tampa Bay Board of Directors appointed Sheila Doyle, the organization's Chief Financial Officer, as the sole interim CEO. This leadership change aimed to provide clear guidance during the transition period leading up to the merger with CareerSource Pinellas.

This co- leadership arrangement began in December 2023 following the departure of former CEO John Flanagan, who left to assume the position of Commissioner of Labor and Employment Services with the City of Atlanta.

April 11, 2024 In partnership with Job News USA, CareerSource Tampa Bay co-hosted a hiring event at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. The fair featured over 20 companies offering more than 1,000 job opportunities across various industries, providing attendees with direct access to potential employers.

April 2024 CareerSource Tampa Bay opened employer applications for the 2024 Tampa Bay Summer Hires program. This initiative offers young adults six-week paid internships, scheduled from June 17 to July 26, 2024, allowing them to gain valuable work experience and skills.
