Our youth program serves Hillsborough County residents between the ages of 16-24 years old, who are in or out of school, have barriers to employment, and are motivated to start a training program or gain hands-on experience. All participants must meet the eligibility requirements of the specific program. WIOA Youth Program
Courtney Goodyear's journey stands as a shining example of resilience and achievement; despite physical limitations requiring her to remain homebound, Courtney excelled through WIOA Youth and Penn Foster’s program remote learning program, graduating with distinction. She immediately transitioned into a thriving career as a social media content editor, and is already negotiating for a full time position, demonstrating her exceptional skills and drive. Driven by a passion for computers and game design, Courtney is now poised to further her education at Full Sail University, pursuing a game design certification remotely. Her success underscores the growing viability and importance of remote work and education, and serves as an inspiration, proving that determination and technology can overcome any obstacle, and that true success is measured by the ability to thrive, regardless of circumstance.
