NOVEMBER 2022 HOME BOOK SELECTIONS
As students and their families add a new book to their home libraries, they will begin to notice the ways in which their reading experiences can be both similar and different each month. Each book is a new adventure and a new opportunity for children to discover more about the world and about themselves as readers. In November, students will remain engaged in the program and excited for their next shipments. The following pages describe the specific books children will receive this month. READING FOCUS: Kindergartners love stories—and they are learning that stories have a beginning, a middle, and an end. These two books offer an opportunity for families and their kindergartners to not just enjoy stories together—but also to enjoy retelling the stories to share with others what happens in the books.

With a combination of childish antics followed by a gentle lesson, this read-aloud is sure to get kindergartners excited about exploring the wonders of reading.

What would it be like to see the world through the eyes of a honeybee? You can find more books about these tales at your local library. Or ask your librarian for some other folktales to enjoy together.
