MAKE YOUR OUTDOOR SPACE UNIQUE IN 4 STEPS Want to use in-lite lighting in your yard, but not sure where to begin? The steps below help you create a stunning lighting plan in no time.

DESIGN

ACCENTS

Your perfectly illuminated yard starts with a lighting plan. Use your original yard design or draw your own picture of your yard. Interesting elements to illuminate are a deck, trees, plants, gazebo and table. Determine the angle and position from which you want to see your yard at night. Is this from your living room or perhaps the deck? Draw these sightlines on the plan and make sure there is lighting between them. Not quite up to the job? Have an in-lite Premium Dealer or landscaper help you out.

A good lighting plan is all about the accents. Make sure to first think long and hard about which elements of your yard you'd like to have visible at night, such as a walkway to the door or the deck. Illuminate beautiful edging, plants or shapes, in addition to the dark areas of the yard. This will make the illuminated elements more eye-catching.

IN-LITE | SMART With the SMART HUB-150, we’ve introduced a revolutionary new way to control your in-lite outdoor lighting. This is done using the in-lite app, available for both Android and iOS phones and tablets. The transformer connects to your smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth Low Energy. BLE is a new low-energy form of Bluetooth and is more user-friendly and safer than, for instance, Wi-Fi. Easy, economical and smart.

IN-LITE | MOTION in-lite motion is our newest innovation in which an electric motor is integrated into the light source and can be adjusted using a magnet. This means that the fixture does not need to be opened to tilt the light source, thereby guaranteeing user-friendliness and waterproofness. The direction of the light can be easily adjusted using the magnetic system.

IN-LITE TRANSFORMERS A REVOLUTION IN CONTROLS

A transformer is needed in every outdoor space to operate the lighting. The HUB not only converts the grid voltage from 100-230V to 12V, but also offers numerous lighting control options. The type of system that is most suitable depends on the number of lines or motion detectors. THE 12V IN-LITE SYSTEM PLUG AND PLAY The in-lite system is based on 12V low voltage, making it safe and easy to install. Want to add or move your lighting in the future? No problem! New and extra fixtures can easily be added to the in-lite ground cable.

HUB & CABLE The transformer controls the lighting in the backyard. We have three transformers in our range: HUB-50, HUB-100 and SMART HUB-150. Want to learn more? See page 94. The 12V low voltage cable is rolled out from the transformer and guided along the fixtures. There are two types available: 14/2 cable and 10/2 cable. With the 14/2 cable, the cable length between the transformer and fixture may be no longer than 40 meters, while the 10/2 cable can handle up to 80 meters.

CABLE SPLIT Want to split your cable? Use a cable connector (CC-2) and split your cable in no time. Please note that a split counts in the maximum cable length between the transformer and the fixture.

ACCESSORIES Is the cable connected to an in-lite fixture too short? Extend it with an extension cord, available in lengths of 1, 2 and 3 meters. The splitter can also be used to connect two fixtures to one extension cord.

EASY-LOCK Every fixture comes with an EASY-LOCK, which lets you connect the fixture to any section of the main cable.

CABLE TERMINATION The cable can end anywhere in the yard and does not need to form a closed system. Cable caps can be placed on the cable ends for a tidy finish and to prevent moisture penetration.

A beautifully lit yard starts with a good cable and lighting plan. You use your lighting plan to determine the best place to install the transformer, such as in a garden shed. You then draw up a plan of how the cables are to be routed into the yard from the transformer and along the areas and elements you wish to illuminate.

Multiple cables can be placed in the yard from one transformer. There are two cable outputs on the HUB-50 and HUB-100 and three on the SMART HUB-150. The location of the cables is determined based on the fixtures in your lighting plan. When drawing the plan, keep in mind the maximum cable lengths of 40 m (14/2) and 80m (10/2).

A FINAL CHECK

Now that you have drawn in the main cables, you can consider cable splits and extension cords. The CC-2 cable connector lets you easily split one of the main cables, letting you reach all fixtures. The extension cords are perfect for powering fixtures that cannot easily be reached with a main cable. All of the cables in your cable plan can end anywhere in the yard and do not need to form a closed system.

You’ve now completed your entire cable plan, including any cable splits and extension cords. It is important to check that the transformer and individual cables are not overloaded. Add up the VA values of the fixtures once again and check that the total sum is not higher than the VA value of your transformer. We also recommend dividing the output of your lighting plan over the various cables.

SPIKE Want to install one of our 60 mm or 22 mm ground spotlights in gravel or grass? Use the SPIKE accessory. Place the fixture in the SPIKE and pierce it into the surface. It takes only a few seconds to secure the fixture and make it ready for use.

RISER New to the range are the RISER 1 and RISER 2. These accessories make it possible to raise the spotlights in the SCOPE series to extend above plants in order to perfectly illuminate your tree or wall. RISER 1 is not height adjustable and has a standard length of 350 mm, while the RISER 2 is height adjustable between 350 mm and 530 mm.
