I’m an avid golfer and really enjoy traveling. In fact, I have my sights set on a Scandinavian trip that in- cludes visiting Sweden where one another succeed. What unique qualities and or personality do you feel makes you most suc- cessful in your profession? I’ve always been good at jug- gling multiple tasks and meet- ing deadlines. As a commercial real estate broker, this skill is essential. But what really matters to me is helping my clients achieve their goals. Building trust and under- standing their needs is key. My personality allows me to adapt and work with a wide range of personalities and age groups. Although I am still early in my professional career, I have found that it is easy to get lost in day-to-day tasks. I take pride in the work I do, and I believe it is important to take work seriously, but I also believe that it is equally important to laugh and have fun along the way. I have been told that my personality boosts morale by bringing levity to the work environment. What outside activities continued from page 6 At work there will be emails that get ignored and projects that get put off, but I try to prioritize both at home and at work so the important tasks get completed. I also exercise and try to maintain a healthy- ish diet to help manage the stress of juggling both worlds. In my “free time,” I like to travel, spend time with my loved ones, watch reality tv, golf, laugh, and enjoy good food! I also love being on the beach or by a pool! young woman about to go into the field of commercial real estate or your allied field? I would encourage those interested in the field of engi - neering to research and under- stand the options available to them. There are an unlimited number of career paths, and you do not want to sell yourself short. Believe in yourself, have confidence, and be prepared to work hard. I would give this advice to anyone, but I find its especially important to young women entering a male- dominated industry. MAREJ up and trust my voice, to have confidence in my expertise, and how to have difficult con - versations. I am an introvert, so these are skills that I need to work on regularly. Being an active CREW NJ member has really helped me face and over- come some of these challenges. Having a supportive network of friends and colleagues provides a safety net, and the programs I’ve attended have given me a framework to address my personal challenges. MAREJ not. Also, I would tell a young woman to go out and meet people. It is so important to surround yourself with people who will support you and con- tinue to help you grow. For ex- ample, the people I met within CREW NJ have been some of the most supportive, inspiring women. Without some of them, I’m not sure I would be where I am today! MAREJ

do you enjoy during your free time? Golf has recently become a hobby of mine. At first, I was only planning on taking a few lessons with coworkers to network and meet other women in the industry, but that quickly changed, and I found myself with my own set of clubs. Over the past year and a half, I have been golfing with coworkers, friends, and I’ve even convinced some of my family members to give it a shot (no pun intended). What inspiring words of advice would you give to a I have a drive to learn and to take on challenges. I am also empathetic, which I think is crucial to being a good manag- er. I am more of a listener than a talker, and I read and listen to podcasts about leadership and management so I can con- tinually improve on my skills.
