2
Krabie, though cautious, listened to the heron. “Why would you help me, Sirandann? We are not friends, and you are known to eat creatures like me.” “Oh, no, no!” Sirandann replied, shaking his head. “I’ve given up hunting crabs. I only eat fish now. I just want to help you find a better home.” Krabie, being clever, was suspicious but curious about what Sirandann had said. “Very well, Sirandann,” Krabie said slowly. “I’ll go with you to this new pond, but you must carry me gently in your beak. If you try any tricks, I will pinch you hard.”
