Nancy’s work has most often centered on imagery that has personal meaning and is heavy with symbolism. During her time at Herron, Nancy has learned to communicate clearly with those symbols not only to use her artistic voice but to allow the viewer to have their own interpretation as well. Her work ranges through history form medieval themes to current events, The hope is to encourage conversations while not forgetting our history…all of our history, the good and the unpleasant. I knew when I choose to go back to school that I would learn better in smaller classes. Not only did I find that at Ivy Tech but I found a community that welcomed me and all the other students where we were without question. As artists and as individuals. The fine art department became a home for me and gave me the confidence to move forward, on to Herron and my current position in production.
