The piece, “A Song That I Know with Words I Love” is from my Leaves, Water, Sky: Landscapes on Copper exhibition, which built on my love of copper through the application of enamels fired in a kiln. Lee says, "After my first application of patina on copper, I was thrilled with the results and hooked on continuing the process. This led to my use of torch-fired enamel on copper. Following the enamel experiment, I knew I had to get a kiln to further the work.” While small in scale, these colorful paintings are warm and approachable, capturing and encapsulating color, memory, and emotion in an unusually beautiful multi- layered and textured landscape.

I was able to take a math class as a transfer student at Ivy Tech and was impressed by the program, my instructor, the tutoring help that was available to me, and the overall sense of helpfulness that I felt the entire time as a student at Ivy Tech.
