Leaders & Innovators

COURSE OUTCOMES Students receive a Bede’s Certificate in Leaders & Innovators. SPORTS & ACTIVITIES Leaders & Innovators students will join the other students at Lancing and Royal Russells for a varied programme of sports and activities in the afternoons. SOCIAL EVENTS (EVENINGS) A full programme of organised and supervised social events is offered every evening enabling students to merge and make new friends, thus developing their social skills. By actively encouraging the mixing of nationalities, the programme helps to create an international community. EXCURSIONS Leaders & Innovators will have the opportunity to take part in a full-day visit to a business on Wednesdays and will join Lancing and Royal Russell’s students on the weekend full-day excursions to cultural and historic adventures to destinations and attractions around London and the South of England.

TYPICAL DAY Leaders & Innovators students receive 20 hours of Tuition per week. These are split into 4 sessions a day except for Wednesday when students depart on a fully guided visit to a business organisation and take part in an outside of the classroom workshop.

ENGLISH LEVELS This course is suitable for students who are independent users of English. We accept levels from B2 (Upper-Intermediate) to C2 (Proficiency). We cannot accept Complete Beginners or Beginners on this course. Students whose mother tongue is English are welcome on this course. COURSE CONTENT Combining leadership and business innovation lessons and workshops with specialist Business teachers and a research project, this course enables students to not only learn how to sound and think like a leader, but also to improve their general English language skills, practise communication and build confidence. Future Leaders Students will focus on studying case studies, taking part in debates and building Business English vocabulary and language to become a future leader. Entrepreneurship Essentials Students will learn the essentials of building a business through hands-on exercises that will equip them with the right tools for success. Guest Speaker Each Friday, a guest speaker will be invited to give a talk and encourage the students to reflect and learn from real-life scenarios. Business Innovators Project Working in groups, students cooperate on a business innovation project to pitch a product to the guest speaker who will be invited to act as a judge in the Product Pitch Competition. Product Pitch Competition The winning team will receive a Project Award.
