While the pandemic presented challenges for both our staff and residents, Housing Choices continued to leave its mark in the social and affordable housing sector thanks to the efforts of the Property Development and Asset Management teams.
Housing Choices Project Management Office was also embedded within the commercial development function, enabling greater cohesion between the teams to continue delivering much needed supply of affordable housing. Business and property development There has been significant progression and completion of numerous developments across Tasmania, and in this annual report we’re proud to showcase our partnership with Cumulus Studio and the Department of Communities Tasmania, for our new development in West Ulverstone.
In South Australia, our Nightingale Bowden development continues to progress, and earlier this year we celebrated the “topping out” for the build. In Victoria, Housing Choices is progressing with its raft of Big Housing Build projects located in Carnegie, Belmont, Preston. We continued to strengthen our existing partnerships, and our work with property developer, Nightingale and not-for-profit Assemble Studios are noteworthy collaborations which exemplify that social housing can be sustainable, innovative, and a leader in architectural design.
