Dean Career Advantage has allowed me to truly prepare for my future. My courses provided me with the tools I needed to be able to market myself, including creating a resume, practicing an elevator pitch and networking with business leaders. It also helped me as a peer advisor. Helping first- year students learn more about what they want to do with their degree allowed me to look deeper within myself. ” DJ W. COMMUNICATIONS MASTER’S DEGREE CANDIDATE, NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY After becoming interested in the field of dance medicine in high school, Dean allowed me to create my own track to align with application requirements for a doctorate program in physical therapy. The mentorship I received from Amanda Donahue, Dean’s performing arts athletic trainer, combined with the opportunity to attend the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science’s conference my senior year, allowed me to further my preparation in dance medicine. After earning my doctorate, I am now working at a physical therapy clinic. ” DR. HAILEY K. DANCE, HEALTH SCIENCE PHYSICAL THERAPIST, CONCIERGE PHYSICAL THERAPY

My professors invested time in mentoring me and developing my skills both academically and socially, making me a well-rounded student and individual. I assisted my psychology professor in a research project that was presented at a conference in Toronto and later submitted for publication, and conducted my own original research as a senior capstone project. I am now working at an academic journal I interviewed with for a career exploration assignment. I believe I was fully prepared for this role because I had experience in reading, conducting and writing scholarly research at Dean. ” KATIE PAN K. SOCIOLOGY
