You’ll learn diagnostics using specialist tools, understand how to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical, braking, suspension, and engine faults, and apply knowledge of alternative fuels, hybrids, and zero-emission vehicles. You’ll also develop strong workshop practices, from maintaining a safe, efficient working environment, to managing waste responsibly, whilst building your commercial understanding of how a garage or dealership operates. Through working directly with customers, you’ll improve your communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, and bring real value by recommending efficient repair and maintenance solutions. LEVEL 3 HEAVY VEHICLE SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN* Similarly, on the Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician apprenticeship, you’ll develop advanced expertise in inspecting, servicing, and repairing heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) such as trucks, buses and trailers.
